A couple months ago I started a blog series highlighting my top ten favorite wedding venues. I highlighted 8, but then life and #coronavirus took over, so it was put on pause. I’m looking forward to finishing this series with the last two wedding venues! Today’s highlighted wedding venue is, The Blacksmith Shop in Downtown Macon. Read along to see why I love it so much!
The Blacksmith Shop is in the perfect location for a Macon Wedding. It’s tucked away in the heart of Downtown on Poplar Street, which is very close to all the great shops and restaurants. I love my city, especially Downtown, so I’m always ecstatic with every opportunity to photograph a wedding at The Blacksmith Shop.
The Industrial Feel
The venue features a beautiful brick building with an outdoor courtyard that is the perfect spot for an intimate wedding ceremony. Inside you’ll find exposed brick walls and iron beams in the ceiling, which gives it that industrial charm. There’s plenty of seating throughout the building, and a large dancefloor by the front entrance. If you’re wanting an industrial/urban wedding venue, The Blacksmith Shop is a great choice! It’s such a unique and beautiful wedding venue with sophisticated charm. Since you can’t go see it in person right now because of the pandemic, here’s a some photos from Candace and Landon’s wedding a few years ago!
