Jordan and Colt met while they were both in school at GCSU, so it was only fitting to photograph their engagement session where it all began in Milledgeville! I was actually born and raised in good ole Milledgeville, so it’s always a treat for me to do photo shoots there, as well as a great excuse to get some Blackbird Coffee. 😉 #gobobcats We started the photo shoot at Lockerly Arboretum and ended it in downtown Milledgeville at the bench where Colt proposed to Jordan! (It sure is a sweet proposal story!)

Jordan warned me before their engagement session that they can be uncomfortable in front of the camera, so it was my goal to create some beautiful, candid photographs that document this sweet season in their life, all while making them have fun in the process, and I think they killed it! They ended up being naturals!

I love doing photo shoots at Lockerly Arboretum, because there is SO much beauty there. The old plantation house is of course a Milledgeville staple, so we started the engagement session out there.

The trails and around the pond at Lockerly Arboretum are also some of my favorite spots to photograph people. There’s usually always some kind of flowers blooming, no matter what time of year it is!

I love that they wanted to end their engagement session at the bench where Colt proposed. These pictures will be such a sweet memory for them as the years pass, as well as a great tangible way to show their kids and grandkids one day as they tell them the story of how they got engaged!

Colt did an awesome job picking out Jordan’s ring! Rose gold is my favorite and I can’t wait to get some close ups of this beauty on their wedding day!

Their wedding will be at the beginning of November this fall, and I’m so honored to be their wedding photographer. I can’t wait to photograph them again!
