Rebekah and Alex got married a couple weeks ago at The Grand Magnolia House, a long-awaited day for everyone, and it was absolutely beautiful! The day started off with a first look with Rebekah and her dad, which was so sweet. I’m always emotional watching the father daughter first looks, especially when their reactions were as great as Rebekah and her Dad!

Rebekah and Alex also had a first look, with the front of The Grand Magnolia House in the background, and it was such a sweet moment! I could immediately see how close they are, and that they truly are best friends in love! I married my high school best friend/sweetheart too, so I’m always even more emotional during those first looks!

I love hearing how couples met, and their proposal stories, so I had Rebekah share it so everyone else can know their sweet love story!

How they met: “We met in freshman math class, and I thought he was really cute, but I didn’t really know how to talk to guys. So, I took my pencil and I threw it at his head, and he turned around and said, “what the heck?!” and I said, “I’m so sorry! I dropped my pencil, could you pick it up for me?”.

And the rest is history!

Proposal story: “He took me to Helen, GA and proposed to me at Christmas time. He proposed using one of our favorite A Day to Remember songs with the line that says, “would it be okay if I took your breath away?” and it was in front of a beautiful lit up Christmas tree which meant the world to me because I LOVE Christmas.”

As a huge fan of Christmas and Hallmark movies, this was a picture-perfect moment! <3

They had chocolate and wedding cake flavored shaved ice, which is a huge thing in New Orleans, where Rebekah’s mom is from. They were delicious!
