Happy Wednesday, everyone! I’m keeping the tradition of Wednesdays being my wedding venue highlight day, so thanks for joining! Today’s featured wedding venue is The Corry House in Union Point, Georgia. If you’ve been there, then you know why it’s in my top ten favorite wedding venues. The Corry House in Union Point, GA
As soon as you drive up to this wedding venue, you’re greeted with an old colonial style home with pillars and a beautiful front porch. This is where the bride and bridesmaids typically get ready for the wedding day. To the side of the house, there’s another building that is the perfect space for the groom and groomsmen to get ready in. Behind these buildings, you’ll find a large red barn, an open field with horses, and beautiful landscape for taking wedding portraits! The barn is a great option for an indoor reception and in the field there’s an area set up for an outdoor ceremony. At this wedding venue, the possibilities are endless when it comes to picking out where your ceremony and reception will be.
The Forest Ceremony Site
My absolute favorite thing about The Corry House is the forest ceremony site. No other venue in the area has a site quite like this for ceremonies, and it’s breathtaking. As you walk down the path, you’ll see twinkle lights strung through the trees, and an opening in the middle of it all- the perfect spot for your ceremony. The sun peeks through the branches and creates the most magical pockets of sunbeams. The birds are chirping as you recite your vows, and it’s just so peaceful. What more could you ask for in a beautiful ceremony site? If you are wanting to have an outdoor ceremony, I highly suggest you look into The Corry House. I love that there are indoor options as well, just in case the weather is an issue.
The Photo Opportunities
Being a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for the best areas to take photos when I arrive at a wedding venue. When I got to The Corry House, the possibilities were endless with photo opportunities. You have the colonial style house, the field, the oak trees, the barn, and of course the forest site. You definitely wouldn’t have to worry about where to take photos on your wedding day if you booked The Corry House as your venue, trust me!
The Sunsets
Another reason I love The Corry House is because the sunsets are incredible. The sun goes down right behind the barn, with the field being the perfect place to grab some golden hour sunset photos of you and your new spouse! They always turn out beautiful. You will never regret taking 10 minutes out of your reception to sneak out and take a few sunset photos, and The Corry House provides some jaw-dropping ones!
