Jordan and Colt are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met. I knew that from the first meeting I had with them, and it proved true after each time I got to spend with them! Our relationship definitely grew closer than most during their engagement before the wedding. In the middle of summer this year, Jordan’s dad was abruptly diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Knowing he probably wouldn’t make it to the wedding, they wanted to give him the opportunity to see Jordan in her wedding dress and get family photos of everyone still together, so Jordan asked if I wouldn’t mind coming to photograph it all. I was more than honored to capture those special moments for them. To this day, it was the most special and emotional thing I’ve ever photographed. Unfortunately, Jordan’s dad ended up passing away before the wedding, but he was celebrated so well throughout the day and I know he was smiling the whole time.

Jordan and Colt had their wedding on Colt’s Grandparent’s property that was SO beautiful. They have hundreds of pine trees, row after row, and in the middle of the rows there’s a big opening which is where they had their ceremony. I Just love it when couples decide to have their wedding on family property, especially when it’s as beautiful as this was!

When we photographed Jordan in her wedding dress with her dad, she wanted to take a few pictures with Colt and her Dad as well, so they had Colt wear a sleeping mask to where he wouldn’t be able to see Jordan in her dress before the wedding. I was happy to tell him that he didn’t have to wear the sleeping mask again for their first look, and I know he was so happy to finally see his beautiful bride! 😉

Jordan was surprised by this pendant of her dad on her bouquet, and it was so sweet and emotional when she found it.

Jordan’s brothers took turns dancing with her in the place of their dad, and it was so sweet.

I’m so glad we were able to sneak away for some beautiful sunset portraits! You can never go wrong with a bride and groom and a good sunset.

Thanks to all these vendors who made the day so special for Jordan and Colt!
